Parent Involvement

The success of New Prague Fastpitch is determined by the commitment and passion of our parent volunteers – like YOU!  Without volunteers, NPGFA would not be able to offer the opportunity for girls in the community to play Fastpitch softball.

Parent volunteers are needed for various tasks throughout the softball season and during the off season.  These tasks include:

  • Coaching (head and assistant)
  • Practice helpers
  • Field prep/cleanup before and after practices and games
  • Score keeping at games
  • Help at clinics with different stations
  • Fundraiser distribution
  • Outdoor batting cage set up and take down

You do not have to be knowledgeable in fastpitch or have any experience to become active in coaching or helping out at practices.  The best way to learn is to get involved.

Volunteer Commitment
NPGFA requires that all families perform 15 volunteer hours throughout the softball season.  You may also opt out of volunteer hours by making a $300 donation to NPGFA.  Please note that the volunteer hours are per family and not per player.  If you have more than one player registered, you are only required to perform 15 volunteer hours.

There will be volunteer opportunities throughout the season for tasks related to the association and also for the team your player is on.  Signing up to volunteer and tracking of completed hours is done through the NPGFA website using Dibs, which is found in the upper right hand corner on the homepage.

During tryouts, a check for $300 will be collected from each family.  When your family has completed 15 volunteer hours, the check will be returned to you.  If the volunteer hours have not been completed by the end of the season, the check will be cashed by NPGFA.
